1 12 oz. Bag of Pecans
1/3 Cup of Olive Oil
* (For the Italian spices listed below, you can easily find a seasoning mix in your local grocery store that has all of these ingredients in one container. If you decide to go this route, use 3 tbsp. of the "Italian Seasoning". If not, follow the measurements below)
1/2 Tsp. of Thyme
1/2 Tsp. of Oregano
1/2 Tsp. of Marjoram
1/2 Tsp. of Basil
1/2 Tsp. of Rosemary
1/2 Tsp. of Sage
Salt (To top it off at the end)
Fresh ground pepper (To top it off at the end)
Garlic Powder (To top it off at the end)
*You will want to take the bag of pecans and put them in a mixing bowl. Then you will add the olive oil, thyme, oregano, marjoram, basil, rosemary and sage. Take a mixing spoon and mix all of these ingredients together and make sure that the nuts are well coated evenly. You will then pour your mixture onto a cookie sheet (it is important to make sure that the nuts are not stacked onto each other).
*You will want to bake these at 350° F for 5-7 minutes. When finished baking, let them cool off to a comfortable temperature for eating then enjoy!
I hope you all have enjoyed this inexpensive and protein enriched recipe! Also, these would be great to give as little gifts to co-workers and/or friends for the holidays! Put them in a decorative bag and attach a little ribbon and wallah! You've got yourself a gift!
